BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Scott Asbill is currently professor and Chair for the department of pharmaceutics, Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy. He worked as director of research at Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy (2009-12) and as Chair of Pharmaceutical, Social and Administrative Sciences at McWhorter School of Pharmacy (2007-9). He published various articles in international journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Scott Asbill research is mainly focused on HPLC analysis of drugs, HPLC assay development, Percutaneous permeation of large molecular weight drugs (oligonucleotides), Testing and development of novel cream formulations for transdermal/topical delivery of experimental drugs, Gel formulation development, Percutaneous permeation study of steroids using novel permeation enhancers, Performing rheological evaluations, Liposomal formulation development, Tissue engineering, Growth of human tissues on biodegradable polymer scaffolds, Formulation and Preformulation of Drug Delivery Systems, Electron, confocal, and light microscopy techniques.
